Glad you are feeling better, that's why I like this site because there are so many people who have gone through the same things, day two and three I was panicking a bit about the pain, but I'm pretty much fine now. Have you had any contact from thg? I haven't and think that's a bit poor, I think a courtesy call to ask how you were feeling and if you had managed the injections ok would have been nice. The scales are staying the same for me which is frustrating considering how little I am having:-( ah well. Long term it will stop me binging etc, gone are the days of eating a whole pizza, so it might just be a slower journey for me. I cold eat a whole pizza now though! Very head hungry a the. I use! But not actual hungry. Glad you are pretty much over the pain part! I thought I found my port in a completely different place yesterday as I felt something strange, not where the big cut is or where the humongous bruise is. I wonder when we can start rubbing bio oil in to help the scarring. Definitely trying that x

I know I'm disapointed that they havnt phoned? I expected a bit more from them regarding the aftercare. The morning I left the hospital (as nice as the staff were) I thought it seemed like a high end cattle market with everyone coming in and going home lol. I think ill give them a ring later because now and again I feel a deep drawing (period like) pain when I walk/bend? It's just to the left of my belly button......strange! I thought I could feel my port but I'm not sure lol I can feel something around the big scar? I'm looking forward to going to the gym or maybe swimming when I lose some weight, ohh and I had a boiled egg yesterday, I should've waited until friday but I felt starving! I didn't have any injections to do at home? They gave me 1 warfarin injection the morning I left, do u have to do them yourself? How are u feeling now? xXx

Hi em! I struggled to find my port and thought it was on the left where the biggest cut was because thats where I was getting most pain, but then I read it's where the most bruising is and I had a huge bruise on my right side, I gently prodded around the little incision there and found it! I thought it would make me queasy but it was ok. It depends on the surgeon if you get injections to take home. I had six to do. It was ok. Just stung a bit afterwards. I cancelled my gym membership because I was paying thirty pound a month an not going and thought that money could go towards paying this op but now I'm losing the weight im raring to go again!! Ah well. Take the dog for some speedy walks instead! I feel fine now, even attempted to lie on my left side last night but it hurt a little so swapped again but in general I feel great. I'm going to the doctors today about my incision site looking a bit dodgy although it does look better today. I'm going to start soft foods today instead of tomorrow as I'm going away with work and nervous of eating for the first time while I'm away incase I'm bad! That said I have no fill so it should be absolutely fine scrambled egg here I come!! X

Are you sure it's on your right? Most of them get sited just below the big incision on your left?

I'm really impatient atm I can feel I've lost a bit but I've got these lush jeans that I'm trying on...every few days hahaa not much happening with them atm tho. I've got 3 dogs ", a yorkie, a jack Russel cross and a shitzu lol think that's how u spell it, I should probably take them out more. Well I hope u have a great time when ur away, take care xx

I think it's in my right, thats the only bruise I have and when I prod it I can feel something hard in there. I may well be wrong as over the past two weeks it's been everywhere! hope they put it in my notes where it is or I'll be like a watering can when they try to do the fill!
Em I'm only going away with work unfortunately :-/ not much fun to be had there! The scrambled egg and tinned tomatoes were delicious! But I definately didn't feel full. Like I said I've no fill in at the mo though. That's why I want to get it done ASAP. I'm even going to start trying to eat fish which I'm not particularly keen on but worth a try. I at and wrote out lots of recipes last night to try to get some variety. Was starving by the end! Actual stomach rumbling starving x

Try laying flat on your back and raise your legs just a couple of inches off the floor....they get you to do this at the fill. This should help in finding it lol

Welcome to the losers side ( sorry just seen this post) my port is also to the left as well...... even though the nurses told me it was in the middle of my breast bone ( how wrong was they) lol - as time goes on and you lose the weight the port sight becomes more prominent - Enjoy your band and take it easy xx

I can feel something hard on the left and right. More prominent on the right. That where my main bruise was so thought that was it. As long as the nurses know where it is when they try to do my fill!
