Christmas 2012 All Comers Challenge

Only lost 1lb this week. My weight loss is going down each week, yet I am not eating any more than I was at the beginning! You watch, what's the betting I will put weight on next week!

I haven't been for a poo for over a week though!! I have taken Lactolose but it doesn't do much for me. Think I need something stronger! :(
 
Reached my Xmas goal so now going for 14st 13lb :)

Lost 1.5lb this week, not a great amount, but happy as been pretty lazy not doing much exercise. X

Seems the exercise shake up has got things moving again – although as I said, I’m not doing more exercise, just different ones at different times.

So now 4 more weigh-ins and 7lbs to go in that time (1.75 lbs a week to hit target).

Going to be close – but still achievable if I can carry on with this momentum…
 
Bella I stayed the same for 6wks I no how u feel and I only lose about 1lb every 2/3 wks and the amount I'm eating is so much less than I used to eat and I do exercise and I don't eat crap .its taking so long its very frustrating and depressing BUT it is coming off and I no this time it want go back on.I suppose like everyone says we must stay positive .

I really do agree with you its been 4 months for me too and iv only lost 28lbs the rest I lost before the op.iv been doing my pre op diet this weekend to try and kick start things again .slimfast for breakfast and lunch and a ready meal of 500 calories or less for my tea.
I'll do this for a week and see wot happens.

Goodness, this must be quite unbearably frustrating for you.

You are following your dieticians advice and guidance, which then suggests to a novice like me that either there is something wrong with the guidance (eg giving you too many calories per day for lifestyle/exercise that you have) or there are health factors that haven't been taken into consideration (eg thyroid).

I don't say these things as suggestions as I'm sure both you and your provider have gone through all of this, I suppose I'm just showing my ignorance of how the band (should?) works.
 
Hi all have lost 4 lbs am 14 st 6lb today am pleased with that as I have been unwell hope it doesnt come back next week. Christmas coming n Chris is not getting fat!!!!
 
My weight loss has come to a stand still now, after 7 weeks and a good weight loss of 36lbs (I have a balloon) I am still having problems and have now been told to go back to the beginning as far as the food is concerned. I have trouble with sickness and trapped wind. (Which is very painfull!!) So I am back on liquid and soft food and drinking through a straw. SO hopefully that will give me some relief and maybe start the weight loss again. :) x
 
I have been having 3-4lbs loss each week and hit my Xmas target of a 4 stone loss on my weekly weigh in on NOvember 8th.

As such, I've changed my target and added another stone to it . . .so am now aiming for another stone loss between now and Christmas.

My Christmas target was 3 stone which I achieved at weigh in yesterday at 3rd fill, 3 stone 4lb. Will change my Christmas target to 3 stone 10lb so 6 to go x

im currently 21st 5lbs and my op is 4 days after christmas. i have to do my pre-op diet of milk and yoghurt over christmas.... i want to be 1-2st lighter by then so im starting now
 
I would say just lower your calories for a few weeks first don't do the milk diet yet as you will get sick of it soon then your cheat when it is really important for your liver shrinkage before your op.

Funny how the shaking up the exercise a little has made me feel less tired in some classes that I still do - perhaps my stamina is increasing a little as the other classes are now more intense.

There is a whole science about this "get fit" stuff and I'm beginning to see/understand some of the techniques other than the more "blunt" methods I would normally opt for.

Hey-ho, back to a 1lb loss this week - can't help thinking that maybe I should have weighed in a day early (was out with friends last night)... but I suppose I would have only been cheating myself in the end...

On a related point, as well as weighing in each Sunday, I also carry out my blood pressure and heart rate tests then (just part of the Sunday morning ritual these days) - and I have to admit, whenever I have been out the night before and had an Indian or Chinese meal my blood pressure is easily 10 points higher than "normal". I'm putting it down to the salt in the food...
 
Wow all doing great mine was to be below 20 stone for christmas on 2 lb to go so can see me beating that but good luck all
