Christmas drinks

I drink sours n cold flat lemonade and loads of ice or Rose wine cold and iv been find, first drink was at 12weeks, I was told don't drink for 4weeks xx

Ive been told drinking isnt a problem medical wise (8 weeks). Just to be careful as people react differently to spirits vs wine x

It does seem wine will be my best option when out as really not sure what I'd have with my beloved vodka without adding more cals to the pot!!

Vodka and diet coke with the fizz stirred out of it or white wine for me. Red wine gives me the runs (TMI, soz).. I think cos its so rich. I went on holiday at 10 weeks post op, drank alcohol several times and was fine. I havent noticed getting drunk quicker though. I'm sure you will be fine if you just try a small amount, no fizz and in the comfort of your own home at first just to be safe. So glad your feeling great Becky it just keeps getting better too xxx

I was told no alcohol for a year

Think says 3 months on mine, not planning on getting blotto just one or two at xmas x

My surgeon says 1 year too, but having read what everyone else's surgeon has advised, I'm going to try a little wine over Christmas . . . perhaps a small Baileys . . . totally NOT going to get drunk though. xxx

My cousin had a baileys at xmas after having his op in october and it gave him dumping. I would stick to rose wine diluted with water!! Oh my mputh is watering thinkin about it!! Yum!! x

The only drink I have had was at my sons wedding which was bucks fizz which I let go flat , I had one and I was fine. Last night I had two j20 which I made last 3 hours all good ! Oh and 3 spoons of a mc flurry on the way home , naughty me !!
