Hello all, I am visiting heartlands hospital on monday for a gastric bypass. i have been in the system since 2008. can anyone tell me of their experience froom seeing the surgeon to operation time. i was told by the weightloss clininc the pct hass agreed funding, i was not told that by my gp.

I had my band operation just under 2 weeks ago at the heartlands and was waiting 7 weeks from seeing surgeon :0))
I believe the wait for bypass is within 6 months ish???

I have been told from the time the MDT meeting at Heartlands agree you are suitable, it is approx 6 months to your op. Good luck Bertie!!
