Hi all I have had a really awful cough this last few days that is making me tired and also not nice for a post op tum! In fact coughing hard positively scares me . . .
Have been given a bronchial dilator and nose drops but was told no cough medicine as it was too sugary for me after a bypass.
But . . . . I have just been to the chemist and asked what diabetics do if they get a cough and cant take syrup. The pharmacist was really helpful and gave me Robitussin Sugar Free Chesty cough mixture. YAY I may get better. To be honest I think the cough is an aftermath of the operation as when I had to have my viens done I got a bit chesty afterwards.
Hopefully now I will be cured - and this is just to let you know you can get cough syrup!!
