Do you get greedy via weight loss!!

OMG what I would do to be like that. Wouldnt it be good if you could have different sized bodies hung in the wardrobe like your clothes so you could choose LOL
I am the same. But don't think we are ever satisfied as I have a friend who is 9 and a half stone and looks lovely but she is striving to be 8 stone something!!!
 
Hiya Gail I dont think ya bein selfish I saiad all along I would love to be 12 st but guess what ive now changed my mind and I would love to be 11 or 11.7 and hopefully when I have op and if I get to 11.7 or 11 I might want even lower lol.x

I'm the same, I don't want to think as far as a target weight so i'm working from stone to stone and as soon as I got to 18 stone something I now want to see 17 stone something on the scales and that will keep me going...think its normal!! at least I hope so...xxx
 
I know exactly where you're coming from. I weigh myself on a monday weekly as my op was monday. I lost 2lb this week which plants me firmly on 17st not over nor under, no matter how much I jiggle myself on my scales :rolleyes:
And I just wanted into the 16's lol. Im resisting the temptation to jump on them today so I can move my 17 marker onto the 16 lol :D

You've done fab as has everyone so why not want those mini steps ? And yeah its not just us WLS peeps everyone secretly wants what they havent got lol :rolleyes:
 
I'm exactly the same Gail, but don't think i'll ever be happy with my weight.Even when I was a size 10 I still thought I was fat:eek::eek:
 
This is one of the reasons I avoid the scales as much as I can because I'm one of those that wants it all yesterday.
 
Gail, I admit it! I have moved my personal private target lower every single time I get in touching distance of it. First it was if I can just get in a size 16, then it was if I could just lose 70% of my excess weight, then it was if I could just get under 200lbs, then it was if I could just get into a size 14, then it was if I could just get to healthy BMI, and so on...I hope you can see that we all do it and I don't think it is a bad or selfish thing. The only way it can be bad is if instead of focusing on the postive achievements, you focus on the negatives and punish yourself for not getting to your goal fast enough or feel bad all day after weighing and not seeing a move downward. Enjoy your positive downward momentum and celebrate every victory - you deserve it!

Why do we go to the hairdresser and have our hair coloured, permed, extensions, cut etc? Why do we buy new clothes and shoes when we dont need to? Its all the same thing. Its not being selfish, its embracing change and being impatient that it isnt coming fast enough although really it is happening extremely quickly. Enjoy each 1lb as it disappears, enjoy having to discard clothes that are too big, enjoy the increased energy and movement - its a long hard road and we deserve to big ourselves up (excuse the pun!)

Thank you Nic, Ime also getting a bit worried cause I have only had 1 t.o.t.m since the 10th July is this normal? Ive tried to phone the spire today but you cant get to speak with anyone I was fobbed from 1 to the other about 8 times and then I got cut off twice so I have given up.lol

Thats absorlutly true and if I dont like what I see I decide to pop on again in a different pose PMSL at some of the things I do.just to lose that extra ounce :p

Gail if you are concerned about missing your TOM I would suggest you ring your GP and ask what they think. I myself wouldn't be too concerned because the trauma of surgery + rapid weight loss can throw your hormones out of wack which in turn can have you skipping TOM. You said you had one cycle, was it directly after or more recently?

I think it was about the 20th Aug, But I had an ectopic about 17 years ago therefore they removed 1 of my tubes and also part of my womb, and I dont do jiggy jiggy lol so ime putting it down to the trauma side of things.

As u know i am pre op but i am sure i will be the greediest gal going when it comes to weight loss, i think untill i get to goal i will still want to lose more and more and not be happy.
I have set myself a goal of 10 stone but tbh would like to be 9 stone, maybe i will be after plastics :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
