Morning,

Well some of you know I have been doing well with my weight loss.

I went for a 2 mile walk yesterday and a 35 min bike ride and had about 1600 cal intake.

Yet when I get on the scales today I have put on 1.5 Kg, how the hell does that work!

The only thing I can put it down too is that I have been having more carbs over the weekend than what I normally do in the week, but surely not 3 lb in one day?

To say I am gutted and not happy is a understatement.

Don't you be giving up. if it was 1 of us you would be saying "stay of the scales" xx

It was probably the scales.
Scales being out a pound and a bit more liquid in your system than last time you weighed yourself and things like that.
Don't you go bonkers with the food today!!!! Otherwise you will be sorry tomorrow when you really have put a couple of pounds on.
Lynne xx

Bummer . . . remember you should only weight yourself at the very most once a week and always on the same scale same place and at the same time of day. Muscle is denser than fat and therefore weighs more – in addition the good works of this weekend won’t show on the scales for at least 3 days . . . Your doing exceptionally well young man – keep it up

I know I shouldn't Kevin but I do lol

Im actually thinking its cause I havent been eating enough at the weekend.

I worked out my calories last night and still had 400 left, and that excludes the calories that I earned from my exercise.

Well guess time will tell in a few days time.

Everyones weight fluctuates on a daily basis. I go through stages. I can weight 3 or 4 lb heavier at night than what I do that same morning. I can put 8lbs on when I doa few days at work. But I can also get it off quickly too. Don't worry about it, just keep a track of it and just be in control!

Just keep doing what you are doing!Ill come and smack your botty with a firm hand if you start obsessing about scales!
They are the devils invention, bin them and measure yourself.Once a week!Mistress Maz (ooh I always fancied being a dominatrix!)

I COMPLETELY relate! I've put on 4lb over the wkend!!! Have hardly eaten anything other than salad and lots of walking. Now panickin my liver not shrunk enuf for sat!

Hopefully this just a minor set back hun and, as others have said, water retention or the like!
Don't let it get you down and ban the scales!!!

xxxx

Try not to worry about it too much, there could be many reasons, including that you are alot more active now, muscle weighs more than fat also if your not getting enough calories to burn your metabolism may slow up.. Ignore the scales (I know it's hard) but I'm sure your feeling alot fitter and your clothers are alot looser. Keep in there it's so easy to say 'oh I give up' and 'things are not working' your doing so well X

Thanks everyone, oh Im not going to give up, but its just so annoying.

I have already dropped from a 5xl to a 4xl and I think I could get into a 3xl now really.

And I do feel so much better health wise, just tonight I noticed when I was washing up, I normally lean on the sink as I get back pain, but now, I can wash up standing up straight with no pain at all.

The scales of justice will tell me in the morning or a pork pie it is haha

Come on young man stay away from the scales and give yourself a break you have had a rough few days before your great weekend it will take a while for your body to get over it all and so it will reflect in the scales. Give it time and it will sort itself to a new lower level and you will wonder why you were so worried. Chill out with the family and relax away from those scales.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !
