Yeah he was pleasant in my consultation. I felt he was rushing a bit before the op - but there were loads of people he was banding on the same day so I suppose he just wanted to get down to what he does best. After the op though he came round the rooms and saw everyone, spending time with them and giving an update on the op and what to do going forwards ...and I felt he had more time to really talk properly. He fixed a hernia for me at the same time as doing the band, which was good : Not long for you now ... x

That's good to hear then- I'm quite nosey so I'll look forward to what he says after the op n how it went. That was good of him to sort your hernia out - do you think it would be cheeky if I asked him to throw in a boob job at the same time lol!! Xx

you may not need one - not everyone loses weight off their boobs. i have though - so by rights that boob job should be mine LOL x

I am having my band done on 29th April by Dr Hewin.

I am a little bit nervous but also excited at the same time.

may I ask, were you in a lot of pain afterwards?

i wernt in much pain, only when i tried to lay down had to sleep sitting up which was ok cause in hosp they had them beds which move x

I've got no boobs to start with so I'm already looking for decent chicken fillets!! My partner won't be able to keep his hands off me haha just gotta remember to keep my bra on at all times!! Haha x

Hi cant decide weather to get banded with THG OR WLS i have one consultation with THG on Monday in Nottingham thats where i live but would be banded at the Dolan Hospital the surgeon would be either Mr Holdstead, Mr Super, Mr Sigurdision and then 2yrs aftercare would be in Nottingham, then on Wednesday i have a consultation with WLS in Sheffield at the Claremont Hospital then 3yrs aftercare would be in Sheffield the surgeon would be Mr R Ackroyd.Has anyone be banded by any of these.

I'm getting banded with dr super- he was very friendly and made me feel at ease - explained how it all worked. He's been on tele and stuff too he told me that he'd been doing it for 11 years. That's just my experience so far, hope someone else gives their experience of the others soon for you xx

Hi, mr El-Hasani fitted my band on 17th March. Not the chattiest of surgeons but op went well & that was all I was concerned about. Lovely hospital & the nurses I had were nice. Do take ear plugs as the cockerel next door thinks it's time to get up at 3am onwards lol! Best of luck xx
