Hiya all,
Just a quick q on dumping syndrome... I had always assumed that dumping was caused by low blood sugar (my provider told me that after eating a high sugar food the body overcompensated by "dumping" insulin into the body) and that dumping mimicked a diabetic hypo. I've never bothered measuring my bs during dumping, mainly because I normally fall asleep when I dump, however today I had minor dumping symptoms so decided to test. My bs was 11.1 over an hour after eating! Now I know that's still pretty high but I'm confused in terms of the whole dumping situation!!! Does anyone else measure their bs when they dump & if so what are your levels?
