My sugar levels were 20-33+ before the op for about 5 years! After the op they were around 6 rising to just under 10 a few days later, they have now drilled to norm, and the minute I got home from my stay in hospital, I burst into tears and could not stop, just look in my diary, although I feel it must be harder when your living on your own, I had my family around me, which was a big help, is there no one on here that lives in the same town that could perhaps visit?

Thankyou so much for your reply, i think m just being paranoid about my diabetis as i was only diagnosed with having it in August. I have a really good friend who has been and taken me to the doctors again today and she came in with me so i didnt miss out anything when talking to the doc.
He checked all my signs and said i am ok, he thinks my body is in shock at the moment, ie getting used to having a major op and my glucos being on a normal level whereas they were high before the op. He has take bloods from me today and he is gonna check pottassium and everything else just to make sure nothing else is going on. i should have results tmro. He also said its possible i have picked up a virus as loads going round.. so im just gonna have to ride it out for now and see what happens x
