Does anyone use a food diary
I thought it may be a good way of keeping on track up to and after my op.

I have looked at the WLR one which seems very good, but are any of you using one that you find especially useful, and do you think they are worth doing???

I have to keep one - I don't go to any of the clinic appointments as they are so far away so I have to send mine in weekly, plus I struggle with some stuff so they like to keep an eye on my intake (like my recent bout of fatigue). I find it helpful personally to refer back to for the changes in my diet etc.

I kept one and found it useful to keep track what I was eating cals and protein intake Gonna start a new one as I have not been doing one for a few weeks

I use an excellent online one, google "Daily Plate", it's great as it keeps eyes on calories, fat, cholesterol and other things too. You can also offset your calories with daily exercise.

I find it a very useful tool.:)

Caz will have a look at that one sounds similar to the WLR one, breaks everything you eat, even lettuce, into cals, protein, carbs, fat, fibre etc etc.
Thanks for the link, and thanks also to Tina and tpt for your input

OOh no - I don't count calories, watch protien intake or anything like that - I just need to check what I have eaten, how much & how often. For example - I make sure I have eggs / cheese every day, and my fluid intake. I just stick to healthier food, thats' watching my intake enough for me.

i was thinking of starting one next week. Might do an online one just to make sure I have the right amount of protein veg n carbs more than anything. Then again if Im bored next week I might attach one to the excel wl chart i have lol;)

I use one attached to my Bodybugg and it helps me see the nutritional breakdown of my diet.

I dont use one and never have though i've never had any food issues other than really oily or fatty foods. I do however try to maintain a healthy balanced diet, which long term is the key to being successful.
