Has anyone had any problems with these injections.... Side effects?? X

Sorry I cant help you I have Clexane injections (didn't want to ignore your post). Hope you're doing ok after the op :) x

Clexane and Fragmin are basically the same drug, just a different brand name. They are both
Anti-coagulants. What side effects are you experiencing?

Are you sure that's not post surgery wind pain? Have you just had your wls? Back pain isn't a side effect of Fragmin.

Yeah I have just an I'm only 1 week post op.... Bruising of the spine causing back pain is one of the side affects!!

I don't think it's wind... :s An I have spoken with both my doctor an nurse from my provider...

Was just wondering if anyone else had any problems...

I had bleeding from the injection sites and massive bruises.

Had daily injections for 10 days after surgery and two days after the final injection, I came out in itchy welts, which my surgeon said was a bizarre delayed allergic reaction to the carrier used for the Clexane.

The itching lasted a week. And there is still some bruising even now, five weeks out from surgery! The bruises slowed me down a bit and probably caused more pain than the incisions.

I have never heard of this side effect and I was a regular user of this medication last year. The only side effects I ever experienced was a slightly tight chest. The bruises are a pain though - my husband does my injections for me and he gets far too much pleasure out of it for my liking

It is on the information leaflet... Might not have been caused by them... But I have stopped the injections an I can now move again.

I was on this crap for four months to try to clear a clot behind my right knee. Hated every chuffin injection especially when the fluid leaked out of the needle before I pushed it into my skin, stung like a Bee sting did that.

Never had any side effects other than bleeding around the insertion site, my belly was like one huge bruise

No problems apart from mega bruises. Two weeks post op and just had my last injection
am so happy there finished :)

Ah yes the sting - not good. I have to still use them when I fly long haul and if I ever get pregnant will have to inject, it's not nice but there are worse things

How many fragmin injections as everyone had post op? I only had 1 on the day of my op and the day after. They said I should have had one before I went home day3 but they'd ran out. Nothing wrong as done about it. I'm worried that I haven't had enough. I am moving aboyr quite alot but still worried x

I have to take for 7 days but I am high risk. As long as you stay mobile I would not worry too much at this point x
