Yup i gave in a scrambled myself one egg, soft scrambled and enjoyed it, not sure i am going to manage the extra week of puree my dietitian is recommending, i want to enjoy the sensation of things in my mouth again and get my taste buds back on track.

I find it extremely strange i have gone off the taste of coffee as its alsways been something i enjoyed.

I worry i am not having large enough portions as i rarely have that 'full' feeling ie tightness from being full, and yet i can also manage a full weetabix without that feeling, and i try not to make it too mushy with milk so it takes a little while to digest

be careful with eggs and diary with your gall bladder and stones cause they can be a trigger for an attack.

Hiya love,

I had a scrambled egg last week and it was delightful. I know its not a puree but I managed it fine with no bad results?!!?!? I only stuck to pure liquids a fortnight which much of the advice post bypass suggests, but my 'team' recommend three weeks. I got on the pureed stuff at 2 weeks post op but if I'm honest I'm just as happy on the soups etc...

We'll be fine I'm sure. Your body (little pouch) will soon alert you if its had too much or its not accepting what you are giving it.

Take care

oh i know yesterday i had a mini dump almost straight away as j blitzed some tuna (spring water) light mayo and milk which had me in a sweat and feeling sick, i was not and slept it off, i enjoy soups as well but i tend to make veggie soups so i neglect protien which is important. I will find a balance.

i enjoyd the egg very much, i wont push it it will be a while before i have another, just wanted that 'real food' feeling without overdoing it and a scrambled egg fit that for me at this time.

im a bander so different but i was so desperate for proper food i had a big mouthfull f a sandwich when i was liquids chewed it then spat it out not one of my prouder moments

I don't think it's too bad, at least it has protein but I guess your dietician wanted you to go another week as you had complications.

Go back to liquids tomorrow, as it is another day.

Won't be that long long before you get to normal food;)

Isn't that a particular type of disorder ;):D
Bulimia lol :D

Seriously - i was supposed to be on liquids for 3 weeks, i managed 2 and then started on sloppy ! i asked my dietician and his advise was to go slowly and see how it goes, its different for everyone and only you will know if your ready, having done a week pre op of fluids and two weeks post op i was really getting bored of tomatoe soup, custard, yogurt and jellys :D

SS same here, i did 10 days on milk diet, then 2 weeks on liquids post op then started on puree whilst in hospital, so i just needed something a little firmer in my mouth then mush

I'm so, so, so tempted to write a rude and smutty response there mate, but I'll resist on the grounds of decency!!!! LOL ;)

LMAO good protien content as well.... hmmmmm stop giving me ideas

I bet after all that time that it was the best scrambled egg you've ever tasted lol. Wont be long now and you'll be back on solid food xx

it was delicious and i wantd more but i have refrained, however i do believe i am going to now have some soup as ll meals today have focused on protien and J will be back in 30 mins after his boss dragged him to dinner.
