yeah i like my fish in sushi form thats proving the hardest part of this, but not long now then i can have sashimi - sushi without the rice :)
Oooo I doe do raw fish, the thought just makes me wana gag! You southerners...yuk. x

hmmm yellow-fin is my all time fave usually only available in hand rolls but i bet i can talk yo-sushi into some next time i am there

Tell you what's ok blended, there was an offer on in sainsburys for Weight Watchers ocean pie and it actually tastes ok blended.

I also blended low sugar beans and sprinkled cheese on top...lovely. I'm only 2 weeks post-bypass tomorrow but for a few days have been on pureed stuff but quite mushy and not felt sick at all yet x x x

I really liked salmon pureed - I did it with a blob of low fat creme fraiche. I also liked tinned veggie balti, the usual mashed carrots, parsnips, sweet pots, celeriac etc. I bought some smooth cottage cheese which was good (altho I suppose you can make your own) I even had some baby foods when I was caught on the hop! I didn't like the fish pie as it tasted a bit 'manufactured' to me but I liked the fish in sauces in a bag (just need to watch fat content). I also made a fab veggie dhal which pureed really well - have put recipe on recipe thread. xx

nice one, i'll have a look x x x

Hey all you slime stage eaters out there try this one.......Tescos do sandwich fillers, try this on a water biscuit and chew it to a pulp before swallowing, very tasty, my fav is the tuna and sweet corn and i can normally manage 5 or 6 of the small biscuits with filling on top for lunch.

If ya fancy cheese on toast but cant do the bread thing, then grate some cheese on top of a water biscuit and stick under the grill, for a tangy alternative drip a little Branston pickle (small chunk) on top before grilling - hey presto cheese on toast without the toast ! :D

I love cheese and pickle things, I will have to remember that one.

sounds good, is that ok on puree'd stage then?

almost sounds like real food, how exciting!!!!

Yep strangely crackers and biscuits are ok as you tend to chew them to a puree before swallowing.

The cheese on water biscuits one works really well - top tip though if you use the Branston, as the cheese starts to melt use a knife to spread the Branston across the top and then stick back under the grill for a bit, whole thing takes about 3 minutes to do, so if your in a hurry its a fab lunch time snack ! :D

You are my god!!!!!!!!

thats just the kind of food i catch myself missing

thanx x x x

Yes but its them good catholic girls, you have to watch out for! lol

Lol - Go easy with it as its quite filling, at your stage your mouth is literally bigger than your pouch ! lol ;)

Hey, that still gives my pouch the possibility of being huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
