well my bf works at greggs so he get a really good discount, i used to always buy the chicken tikka baguette, which i think i ok, well i told him that maybe he should get in touch with his company manager and tel them to make fat free and sugar free cakes and dougnut and well everythin in the shop, with a hint of splendid on it for some sweetness lol i think its a good idea

cud be on to a new market idea here lol

I have actually complained to Greggs head office because they do not provide ANY nutritional information on their pre packed sandwiches....

They said this is because their production is not standardised so they cannot guarantee the fat, protein, carb and sugar contents....

I think every company should provide this information as standard, most do, but all should!!!

I have also written to Costa coffee to enquire why they do not provide any sugar free syrups to make their flavoured coffees, like Starbucks do... I am awaiting a response...

I am on a little sugar free crusade ;-) but if they did sell their cakes sugar free, the fat content would still be really high and the carb levels would also be high, so its probably a good thing we cant have these things even if sugar free post bypass, teaches us better eating habits ;-)

greggs makes the sandwiches in there shops so the person who makes it gets told how much of each ingredient to add on the sandwich, but u make a very good point, i love naked bean so i tink ill mail them and ask bout fat free syurps, ur right tho there is not enought fat free/ suger free stuff out there in wha as our fav coffee shops ect, for us to go back there after our op so we dont feel left out when were out with friend etc.....

also at greggs u can ask them to make up a sandwich with just the ingredients u want on it, say u wanted a chickenn bag, they have a mint yogurt/sauce on it with chicken, cumcumber and lettuce, u can ask them to make it with just chicken, cumcumber and letuce, well in the shop my bf work in n huddersfield rd they will do if they can. xxxx

Great ideas folks!....i have always had a problem with Greggs when doing various slimming clubs they dont provide any nutritional info at all.

I know weight watchers have asked and asked but get the same response as mark got...bit of a cop out. So when i am being good i avoid the shop totally...their sales go down a fair bit lol.
