Green Tea

Having read about the properties of green tea and also suffered from dry mouth because of it (I do still drink it but limit to 1 cup per day) I discovered twinings green tea with pineapple and grapefruit and it is delish. Even hubby liked it so that means it has something going for it.
I recommend it. It tastes like Lilt (funnily enough I hate Lilt) give it a try
and no i do not have shares in the company LOL

mm sounds nice, i do quite like green tea, but this sounds even better, ill have a look in tesco when i go shopping, thanks for the info, hugs xxx

I like the orange and Lotus flower best up to now x

Is that a bit perfumy Joanne? It's the lotus flower bit that put me off. I wish they did a selection pack to make it easy to try them all without having to buy a big box LOL

My thirst has worn off now... I'm back on green tea, I leave the tea bag in with the hot water and have a dash of milk.

But I'm not having the thirst... I think mine was due to being post op and diabetic... I'm doing really well with the green tea again now...

Just thought I'd report back.

Love and hugs everyone, I'm finding it better than ordinary tea... I don't drink anything else now...

My thirst too has gone so maybe it is a starter thing? I know others at work say the same. Still persevering though. Off to look at twinings site now BRB

Bless you Carol, it's a good job we persevered, I'm sure the green tea is healthier and so glad we compared notes on this point.... a good 'moot' does help at times.

Thanks Carol xxx

Just ordered strawberry and mango and their green tea as I have M&S brand at the mo. Will follow up when they arrive.
Not much of a choice for the free tea though, perhaps they change it each month who knows?
Think i'll search and see if anyone else does similar LOL
You are right Bev, Perseverance is certainly the key when it comes to WLS and its journey!

Absolutely Carol.

What works one day may not work another and it's a test to patience, endurance and perseverance, you are doing well and we are here for you.

Likewise, I'm plodding on nicely and won't be a record breaker, but don't aim to be... just nice and steady... it's feeling fine.

So glad we are having the green tea, I'm so sure it helped to keep my blood sugar lower and also I value the antioxidant values in wls....

Love and hugs xxx

Certainly know it keeps me riunning to the toilet LOL But then it must be flushing my system, got to be good!
I too aim to be a plodder and am considering throwing away the scales, gonna start a thread methinks!

Ive just been on Twinings website and you cant order a sample of the pineapple green tea.....there are others you can have though, but there is a box of green teas on there for £2.50 with 25 green tea-bags and there are 5 of 5 different ones and the pineapple is included :D XX

That sounds like a nice variety... I like them all... but I only drink Twinings... and I'm having to have a dash of milk but that's fine... I'm enjoying it... a great addition to my new healthier eating and drinking plan. No more 2 litre bottles of Fanta Zero pop to quench my diabetic thirst thank goodness... xxx

I tried the pineapple and grapefruit one with sweetener then chilled, delish. will be great for the summer

Nowt wrong with that Kevin lol....green tea is alleged to have some really good properties though, full of ant-i-oxidants and good for keeping fluid retention at bay :D
What I noticed on the twinings site though is the cost of postage! £3.95 postage for a box of tea-bags costing £2.50....I dont think so lol.....Ill look out for them in the supermarket! XX

I need milk in good old yorkshire tea, so if we are camping, by drinking green I can do without the milk. I cannot stand black tea with no milk my husband drinks it that way, so to not have to carry milk is a reall Godsend.

Kevin, I always had Yorkshire tea and keep it in for everyone else and visitors. When I was trying to reduce my blood sugars pre op... I do believe the green tea really helped and I've switched since wls.

Post op. I'm preferring the green tea with a dash of milk, I had it without before and the Nescafe green coffee I have to have made weak since it tastes stronger.

There's a lot of talk about the good properties in green tea and coffee, so I'm giving it a go and enjoying it.

Love and hugs everyone xxx

i drink green tea loose....nice and filling.

If anyone frequents Costco,I know Bev does. They have the Yorkshire teabags,480 two cup bags for £5.99.They are nearly that for 240 ordinary bags in Morrisons!
