Ah thanks and where to begin?! I think the recovery is the worry- just want to know how I will feel after and when I will be back to cooking for the family and taking kids to school and little one to park and shopping!!

I really felt very little pain. I was sore when I woke up so they gave my tramadol by drip. Before that they have me anti-sickness meds as I felt queasy. I kept getting meds for that afternoon. By the evening i was on paracetamol by drip. I could tell when it was wearing off but it wasn't agony at all. Lots of bloating and discomfort from wind.

By day 4 I was up and about and I felt i could have gone back to work after a week but had 2 weeks signed off.

I wasn't allowed to drive for 6 weeks so check that with your provider and insurer.

My Sis came up on day 4 post op and we started walking in to town each day. About 30 mins. Each day I could do a bit more.

Hope that's helpful x
