Sorry I didn't reply to your post asking what the pre-op assessment consisted of! It was being weighed, heighted, swabs (to check you don't have MRSA), ECG, measurements of calfs / ankles for stockings and full medical history. Then, 3 of us had a talk from the nurse consultant who told us what's what. I was there for almost 2 hours!
I hope you get on ok at the PRUH! Keep us updated
