Help!!! False nail virgin

wants to be a loser
Ok ladies I need some advise
I want to have false nail for my daughters wedding and don't know what to have or even what to ask for :confused:

Most people have acrylic nails, but years ago when I used to have my nails done, I had silk ones, they were lovely & really thin in comparison to some of the acrylic ones. My best advice would be to ask around for friends who have them done for recommendations & have a look at them too, to see what styles you like. Also, have a trawl around the hairdressers/nail salons & look at the nails on the ladies working there, it will give you a good idea of the quality xxxx

Hi Wendy

When I have had them I have had acrylic tips ie they glue a tip onto your existing nail then brush over acrylic and file.

They look really nice and last a good couple of weeks before they will need maintaining.

Shop around though as the prices vary. I usually have paid £20, and £10 for maintenance. Avoid places that use a machine to prepare your nail - they can really damage your nails.

I have gels on my nails, acrylics lifted quite quickly as my nail beds are oil apparently! I love gels, have them on my toes too, fingers need infilling every 2 weeks and toes last a couple of months on this customer. Cost about the same as acrylics too and you can have tips glued on first. Depending on where you go the colour range is spectacular, I like a good tarty pillar box red ;-)
