In previous ops i've had you are normally given a pre-med injection which makes you drowsy. When you are given the main injection bet you don't even count to 10 before your asleep. Next thing you know its all over and your in the recovery room feeling sleepy. Good luck x

I'm 46 and its no easier i am the same i am due for a check up at dentist shortly, i hate it with a passion i too am a big softy, the anaesthetic was easier than the dentist i thought, everyone was just so nice, i just thought well this is it this is what i'v been waiting for the sooner i goto sleep the sooner i'b sorted, n that was it i woke up n it was all done. xx

I'm with you this one Chirsa, I hate the dentist and although I've never had surgery where I've needed a general anaesthetic I'm not worried about it....(yet!)
