Might be worth googling bariatric surgery post op soup recipes. Just get in what you can for now of the allowed foods. And drink. It will get easier as days go by chick x

oh bless you, Kitty is the one to look at look for recipes- Hidden Beauty SHE HAS STARTED A RECIPE THREAD.( just for you)xx

Thought I felt my ears burning :)

Tbh making soup is pretty damn easy, throw everything in a pan of stock or water, cook it slowly, blend it, sieve it :)

Hi

What surgery did you have, I know when I was only 3 days post op with my bypass I could not eat much more than two dessert spoons of ready break or clear soup, I was told to be on puréed food for four weeks, I am now seven weeks post op and can still only eat a small amount at each meal, although I am now on normal food and just make sure it's well chewed.

And don't forget to keep your fluids up, two letres of fluid every day is important and don't drink at the same time as you eat. Be patient you will soon get used to it.

I don't make soup quite like HiddenBeauty.. I use pan spray first and fry the veggies a little. Lots of onions, leeks, celery and carrots, then I add a pack of broccoli and cauli like you get at the supermarket. I then add soup mix powder (I use chicken flavour), water, and a little Splenda just to take the bitter edge off all the veggies, and cook it all till veggies soft. I like to add some frozen peas at this stage so they keep their colour, cook for a few more minutes, then blend in the pan.

I don't fry stuff because I don't want the oil. Trying to make things as oiless as I can.
