Hey folks

Sorry I have not been on here for a while

I'm in a bit of a funk right now. My close friend having a severe stroke really knocked the stuffing out of me. It changes the dynamics of my life in a lot of ways - how selfish does that sound! And feel

I have the girlies down at the van with me this weekend - minus one :-(

Margaret is saying - book our next holiday - when is it were down at Kirsty's van?

She is paralysed down one side, and on that side side her eye is almost closed - she has a long hard road ahead of her - she won't be joining us on any adventures for a long time. But she does not realise this yet

She is such a vibrant beautiful woman - so hard to see her like this

On the weight loss front - stalling big time. I'm back to having no restriction able to eat as much as I want and any type of food. I had a full sirloin steak yesterday. When I had my fill I couldn't get a mouthful of fish down. I need to contact the hospital to check my fill - is my leak still there?

This is why I have not been on. I'm not feeling positive and really feel I have nothing to offer in the way of support or inspiration

Oh Kirsty, you're having such a crap time. I know exactly where you're at with your thoughts on your friend. It's not selfish at all, it's normal to grieve that things will never be the same again.

As for the band, definitely get back to get that fill checked. Surely you shouldn't be able to stomach a full streak??!

I completely get you not coming on here, but know that we all desperately want to help you and you with provide support & encouragement. We all need it. Xx

Hiya surgery buddy!
That band is f@@@ed!! There is no way you should be putting down a steak it's got to be leaking either that or you have some big stretchy stomach never seen before and you need experimenting on! Go get you stomach cut out.. I recommend my surgeon he left me with nothing!! You wouldn't even want to cook a steak for Lyndsey never mind eat a bite!!
I'm sorry about your buddy..none of us are invincible are we! It makes you realise..could be any of us..
Get yourself back to that hospital for a check and play merry pop if it's leaked again!

I agree to get back onto Nuffield to see what the issue is, something not right as even though I can get away with certain stuff...full steak I would struggle with!!!
