hi! lost of questions but dont know where to start

I thought i could look through this site, see what information i could pick up on without bombarding you with loads of questions, but it looks very confusing for the moment so thought i would write a little post on my concerns and queries and go from there.

i went to my doctor today and she was completely agreeable for me to go for the surgery.

She said my nearest hosptial is Luton and Dunstable (i'm in milton keynes) and would like to know if anyone else is having or had their's done there.

I'm also applying for funding so would be interested to know what the process is for this area.

I don't know your pct but i did go out with a chap in your area once so if you ever get approached by a smoothie calling himself Tim/Robbie run for the hills lol.......

Seriously, it's great your gp is supporting you and i hope you get approval. I think a few members have had their ops at L & D and it's been all good, but i'll sit back and wait for them all to come running..

I had my op at the Luton & Dunstable just over 3 weeks ago, i can say the team are brilliant and my surgeon Mr Date was wonderful a lovely man.

how long did it take you guys from the moment you walked into the doctors room and told them you wanted it and going for the op?

Hi and welcome,
I'm from Northants and was offered L&D or Birmingham. I chose Birmingham though as it was closer.
I went to see my G.P for the first time in august last year and had my op nearly 2 weeks ago so about 9 months all in all. Each hospital and in fact each case is completely different though.

I had my op at L&D 8 weeks ago Mr Jain was my surgeon and brilliant!

I first went to my GP in Feb 09 applied for funding in March...was refused
Resubmitted for funding in June and was granted it! (Bucks PCT, think your's is sifferent if your in MK)

1st hosp appointment was in July, (L&D won't see you until you have funding all sorted), and had my op 31st March
