HORRIFIED twice in one magazine!!!!!

Im with you shell if shes not claiming benefits or trying to get 'perks' then let her get on with it. I find that far less offensive than people who make fake claims for benefits etc. Shes more to be pitied if she has to do something like that just to get attention.
 
Sorry, i just assumed from her managing to get her story in a magazine about pretending to be disabled it was in order to recieve things.. Not just attention.. lol.. I wasnt offended btw.. i was just stating that obv as i thought she was doing it for car parking spaces and stuff that that would be wrong.. I know people who do sadly do this.. lol.. and have nothing at all wrong with them which entitles them to it..

I work in entertainment and we often get magazines calling us up desperate for a story - I wouldnt read too much into either of these articles - they are probably pretty much works of fiction - thats how our stories end up!
 
Squashing, yes I've heard of that.. definitely quite lucrative for some. I would do it but even now it would be more like "flopping" what with all the hangy skin.:D

I am sometimes in and out of a wheelchair- sitting in it one minute and walking the next because I can't walk long distances. This is where I don't think little britain helps me on this (I know I am not going to be popular in saying this though about little britain)

I am disabled too and I find it very odd that someone would want to pretend to be! And like you said topsy- we would love to be healthy like her and why would someone want to get attention by pretending to be disabled- very odd indeedy!!

I know this is also true- magazines can twist things. I sent off my 'story' to a magazine and they twisted everything and just focused on the negatives whereas I wanted it to come across as a positive story and show what a positive person I am- I was so gutted!!
 
I have heard of squashing and if the person can make money out of there size I say go for it lol. I sold a story to thats life mag for £750 and when it was published it was dead cheesey lol
