How much did you have to loose to be given the go ahead for surgery?

Hi all,

I have had my initial appointment with the doctor, I have attended my 6 group sessions & I am now waiting for my review. I was told I had to loose a certain amount of weight, Think it was 5%.

How much were you told to loose for your review date?

I have miss placed my "passport" and I have been given a cancellation as they kept moving my review date (no fault of my own)

Now i am panicking that i Haven't reached my goal.

I also had to lose 5% of the total body weight

Dont recall been given a percentage to lose just lost some weight and keep it off which in some ways is a blessings as it stopped me stressing out if I didn't lose a set percentage

mine was also 5% - they gave me a target of 116kgs and I had to stay at that or below and remain there until surgery - I managed to, but have for some reason gained 2 kgs now and I have 3 weeks to shift it or I am unclear what will happen! Stressful - however, everywhere is very different and its sounds like you have done ok x
