I Fear The Worse!!

Been up all night as both my daughters seem to have been hit with gastric flu.
Awful enough, but I feel really worried about catching it! Am 11 days post-op and just sneezing really hurts. I can only imagine what persistant vomiting would do :cry::cry:. I know I just need to get on with it and care for them both, but if I catch it, would the above affect my internal wounds?? xx

No is the answer, just take the usual precautions. And keep hydrated if you catch it!

Can't you send them to a relative to be cared for? Hope you don't catch it and that they recover quickly x

Thanks all. They are over the worst now, must have been a 24 bug. I feel dandy today, so much so I have my ironing board ready to rock!! Seeing the nurse later this morning to check my wounds. All great bar one, which is still pulling quite a bit.
Off to Alton Towers on Wednesday, and although I won't be venturing on the big rides, I think I will treat myself to a few hours in the hotel spa :D
Really struggling with head hunger due to lack of fluids, so that is my mission from now on! xxx

Woohoo glad alls ok kellie, have fun at Alton towers :) xxx

from me phone :D

I am delighted to hear that all is well and the little ones are recovering.

Made me think though. I am having my annual flu jab next Monday. Has anyone had any problems with that after surgery? Prolly a daft question but thought I would check :D

I had a phone call from my GP's surgery yesterday asking if I was making an appointment for my flu jab (normally have this done at work as they come round to all the wards and offices so no need for time off work). I mentioned to the receptionist that I had an appointment with my GP on Tuesday to discuss Vitamin B12 injections and a further sick note, so would speak to him about having my flu jab. Will let you know what he says. :D

Hi Mandy, I had a phone consultation this morning to review my meds & this question came up as I should have had my flu jab last week. There is nothing to stop post op'ers having the jab so I am having mine on Wednesday. :) xxx

Glad the kiddies are picking up today, Kellie & that you are too. Have a fabulous time at Alton Towers, babe but don't overdo it xxx :)
