Incisions Stapled????

Did anyone have their incisions stapled? How painful was it when they where removed?

Im looking forward to having mine removed on Wednesday but they look like it could be painful.:cry:

I did not painful at all the have a neat little gadget that does it, and a couple of my sites were even infected after starting to reject the staples

I had 47 staples to be removed and I was quite anxious before the nurse came with her little gadget to remove them. She warned me that they may pinch a bit but I can honestly say there was no pain or pinching as she put it at all. Try not to worry, it will be fine.

I had staples too & was a bit apprehensive about them coming out, but in the end it was a none event in fact it was a relief cos one of them was pinching & it was lovely to have them out xxx

I was very frightened of the staples, never even had an op before & a major cry baby. They are amazing no pain, no infection, came out with no probs last weds. 2 weeks post op & you would never notice part from some tiny brushing. I had a sleeve.

I was nervous about having my staples removed... then jen sent me a message similar to your about her 47 staples.. and i thought... what am i worrying about.... and Jen was right lol... the nurse took them out and i was lying on the bed and i asked her... when are you gonna start as im really nervous and she said... ive only got one more to take out!! lol.. i didnt feel a thing xx

I was bypassed and was so scared to get my staples removed, I went to my doctors and the nurse took them out, and I didn't feel a thing, I even asked her to re-check to make sure they were all out, I never felt a thing xxx

hi i was the same as everyone else never really felt a thing its obvious you are going to feel the nurse touching your tum but as for pain once you have them removed you will be thinking what did i worry about that was nothing i promise you. xxxxx

I had a hysterectomy and 120 staples, didn't feel a thing, not a single thing, I hope they staple me this time as well!!!

Thanks so much for all your comments I now feel much more at ease Can't wait to have them out on Wednesday as they are beginning itch.
