I was reading Lisa J thread and she spoke about being given a laxative before the Op the have a clear out.

Just wondering if that is the norm as no one else has mentioned it.

Thats one thing I won't be looking forward to, becoming friends with the loo. Worried I may not make there in time .

ive got to say the enema was awful, just all kinda of wrong, i cant beleive people pay for it!

I've had Enema's before, but in the privacy of my own home and own loo.

the laxatives a doddle please dont worry, dont forget you would of done your pre-op diet by then so there really isnt that much to come out!!!!

I was'nt given anything but could do with it now lol

i wasnt given anything either, they precsribed me a crystal fiber gel after to take home.

I was never given anything like this, then again I was lucky and didn't have to even diet before my bypass.
