July post oppers, How are we all?

Doing great. 1 week since my op and 1st 3lbs. Feeling pretty tired still and having to nap in the day. Sucking on lots of ice lollies to get some intake in this heat.

Pain is very mild, not needing any pain killers. Cannot wait until I can sleep on my belly once again

well done on the weight loss!
its 4 weeks tomorrow since i started the pre op diet and ive lost 26lbs.
i know what you mean about being tired, EVERYTHING is taking it out of me at the moment!

The injections are for two weeks

I am going to take it very easy and enjoy my recovery. I do not want to go back inside hospital again. Twice in ten days is enough.

What are these injections everyone speaks off? I had no such thing post-op. Are they procedure-specific?

They're the post-op anti-clotting injections. It doesn't seem to be standard whether you have to have them, or how long for! Lucky to get away without them, mine made me really bruised!

I have another week of them. My mum comes over every night at 6 to stab me lol

Ha I used to quite like doing them myself! Mental, I know, but my long term plans are to go back to uni to do medicine so I used to think they were quite exciting!

Ah that sort of makes sense then. I hate needles of any kind so I avoid them at all costs

Glad to see all you post oppers are doin well, its very reassuring for me. I hope your on the mend now marcus too. Sounds like you,ve realy had it rough.

Its my last day on the LSD tomorrow thank god, then bypass on thursday!!!!!!!.
Injections dont bother me, I was a nurse for 23 years, but it would feel strange injecting myself instead of someone else.

Hello wireman glad to hear from you how long do you have to inject yourself, in think if I'm given that job my husband is in for a crash course of nursing I don't think I can do that bit. Take it easy and don't rush your recovery

I had to mine for 20 days morning and night on my last tomorow
