Hi everyone, i think i experienced dumping for the first time today! I went to costa coffee for a catch up with a friend who had the bypass, she was getting a hot chocolate, so thought if shes ok so should i.... oh how wrong i was! Dashed home in a state of pure agony and dare not eat again because i cant go though that hell ever again! Lol has any other sleevers had issues with dumping?
I get the odd days where food just don't sit right but never dumped yet its just a weird feeling I get that says you don't want that specific food item
Sane as mine feeling. I think dumping is worse (some say it's like dying) I just get a weird sicky feeling if it's gone too quick or not chewed enough xx Sent from my iPhone using WLSurgery
Hey hun! I know that weird nauseas feeling. Isn't it lovely...? As for dumping - do you get that? I thought it didn't happen with a sleeve, as you still have a pyloric sphincter? I get it - it's not fun, although I'm pretty sure it's not like dying! (I'm guessing, having never actually died before....) Anyway, hope you're doing okay...xx
Hi I've never died lol but when I dumped for the first time I have known anything like it and it was so bad I thought my whole body was shutting down. I was in so much pain, my head felt like the worst migraine ever and I've had a few in my time, (one when I had to be admitted to hospital) the runs pains in every part of my body the shaking sickness, I just wanted to end it all. It was the worst feeling ever. Since I've had reactions to food stuffs, feeling hot and uncomfortable, a bit nauseous a bit of the runs but nothing major. It's been the best lesson for me to make me be very careful about what I put inside of me. Hopefully I will never have it ad bad as that first time but if it did happen I know I would make it to live another day.
I didn't think sleevers get dumping and I don't think I do. Just the sick feeling and hotness if I eat too fast or don't chew properly.
I'm okay! Seen your thread skinny! You are doing amazingly well!!! xx

when you have a gallbladder removed you can get a thing called Salts diarrhoea which is chronic runs without warning, I suffered with it for years without knowing what it was because its over 30 years since I had mine removed, the only thing I didn't get was the sickness. But I thing now lack of food had helped to dry thing up so to speak, but it's nothing like the dumping.
