Thanks Lisa.

Think I will take your advice and weigh in at the end of week 2. Probably a good idea to keep a check, as by week 3 I might go mad for mashed potato and gravy!

so...happy

I did not have to do a big pre-op diet...I tried but had a hard time controlling my hunger and I figured that I was going to be giving everything up in a few weeks, I will just eat what I want. I mean, I eat healthy but I also eat some of the wrong things. Anyway...good luck...keep us post on the other side. :happy096:

Day 9.
The good news is my shoulder pain is not as bad. Comes and goes with mild exercise, if I eat to much/quickly or sleep in a funny position. Fingers crossed that it stops completely over the next few days.

Anyway, I know its weeks away but been reading about fills and the 'sweet spot'. I have 3mls in my band and have noticed a drop in the amount of fluid I can eat. I know I'm still healing but won't this be worse when I'm on mashed/solid food? Has anyone had a fill during surgery and never needed another one?

Slimfast is full of sugar, so that might not be a good idea. Have you tried Atkins shakes? Very low carb and designed as meal replacements. Just a thought!

I am glad to hear that you are doing well. Full speed ahead now!
