My sister at work just called me in the office . She had been told about me being diagnose with sleep apnoea & just wanted to chat about my health generally as she has noticed I get tired & short of breath easily . As I am fighting a chest infection atm my breathing is worse . I had never intended to tell her , (I'm not sure whether just yet or ever ) but suddenly it blurted out my mouth that I had applied for funding & she was fine about it , asked to be kept up to date & said she will keep quiet unrolled I decide to tell anyone else , though she did say she thought I would get plenty of support .
I have to say she was the one I least looked forward to telling

I went through something similar ... dreaded telling my two youngest children even though they are adults & guess what, they were BRILLIANT. Sometimes we fear things that are all in our mind ... Glad things turned out well for you, honey xxx

aww thats great, i have that ahead because i just left my old job and have started a new one and now i have a date for surgery i have to tell some people, and the people i dont tell are going to be asking why im going off for two weeks :S

I might have got away with 2 weeks but I guess I will be 6 weeks off work lol anyway good luck hun , hope it goes as well as mine did .

Its nice that you have been able to share this with your sister and you have their support
I haven't told anyone at all other than my husband and my daughter, who agree and support me all the way. I am hopefully going to book 2 weeks off work when I have the op and hope I will be able to manage at work after that. I have a desk job so am sure I will be ok.
