Long pre-op diet

Hi all - I've just received my paperwork for my surgery and it says the length of the pre-op diet to shrink my liver depends on my BMI. According to them I have to be on it for 4 weeks.

Has anyone else had to do a long pre-op diet like this?

I was told that when I had my appointment with the surgeon, I'm still pre-op. Good luck

I had to do 4 weeks pre op diet.

I too waa a 4 weeker! From what my team told me the bigger you are the more time is needed to reduce the liver it kind of makes sense, still doesnt make it easy !!

Eesh I know! It's going to be hard because if I could stick to a diet I wouldn't need surgery! Lol X
