Loose skin......

Have you ever wondered how much weight in loose you are carrying?

I think I must be carrying about 14lbs+ worth :cry:and hope that eventually I can afford the cosmetic surgery one day - I'd have ALL of it removed.

From what I've seen it's always far less than people think.

I suspect I have about a stone at most if not less. Probably less in fact. Most is still fat.

I think mine will be something like 8-10 lbs. But the way you loose fat makes it look so much worse.

I saw the same programme "when gastric bands go wrong" on c5. it said the man had lose approx. 20 stone but was left with around 5 stone in excess skin.

A young lady I know had the gastric bypass a couple of years ago. She was 30+ stone, after numerous operations, 2 children and drastic weight loss (borderline anorexic now) She has 2 stone of lose skin.

It does worry me but at the same time I'm hoping it won't be what a very strong pair of suck-me-in pants can't hide!

I also worry about loose skin but not half as much as I worry about skin full of fat :/

having recently seen my GP die to my skin issues she believed I have about 15-20lbs of excessive skin around stomach, maybe even more.

He was massive though. 42 stone or something??

I read a medical journal some time ago that estimated excess skin weighed 7-8 lbs per 100 lbs lost.

I think it is probably more how it looks than how it weighs, really. As others have said, people think it weighs more than it does.

Of course, I'm not yet lucky enough to have this problem, so this is all conjecture on my part! :wave_cry:

Hi! Well I have just had a tummy tuck after losing 95lbs and 2.6lbs was removed.

Well done I hope you are well now and pleased with your tuck:)
