Lottie Looses Weight :)

Help Please !!!! I seem to be struggling to loose weight at moment I'm sticking to 1000 calories a day but seem to to have come to a stand still. Since November 30th I've only lost 5lbs :( the last 2 1/2 weeks I've lost nothing and feeling very demotivated. Ant tips would be appreciated x

Why don't you try upping your kcals to 1,200? 1,000 is quite low and your body might be holding on to everything.

How about joining the thread on here and logging everything you eat - someone might be able to give you some tips?

I'm sure it will get shifting again lottie - don't give up x

How active are u ? As it maybe ur eating too few calories , what types of food are u eating ? I love carbs but try too steer away from them as if I eat too many I stop losing weight even if I'm under calories or not ,I also found that when I first started the gym I stopped losing too,try taking your measurements as u could be losing inches even if not lbs on the scales xx

Ps naughty I know but if I'm on a major stall I have a day where I eat within reason what I want so say 1500/2000 kcals then the next day I get back on track while I will show a slight gain the next day ,it normally kick starts my weight loss xx

Snack that's how I managed to lose my weight and give my metabolism a boost. I had 5 days a week on c 1000 to 1100 calories a day and then two "shock" days a week of even up to 2000. The average on a weekly basis generally came in at c 1100-1200 a day, but the weight losses came and I enjoyed a bit of what I fancied, guilt free! I now can lose on 1400-1500 a day ... :)

Hi Ladies thanks for your help. I don't eat any carbs really I've banned myself from bread, pasta, rice and potatoes. I know there's carbs In everything but not eating the above. I have a pretty balanced diet but I'm not a huge veggie lover my normal day is:

B- yogurt
L- some sort of chicken
Snack- 2 finger kit kat
D- meat and veg

I've upped my calories to 1200 and tried drinking more water and I've lost a 1lb already I guess I needed to eat more. Sounds silly but I can't get my head around the eating more I worry I will gain.

Thank you all for you tips x

Hi you're doing really well. I've been eating all the wrong things over christmas but had a wee half ml fill this afternoon so hope i can get back into eating the right things again. Keep up the good work. Hx

Look at those skinny legs!! Well done you

Lottie you look lovely x I am on a go slow with the weight loss too at the moment and not had any rice pasta bread or any major carbs since my op! Its tough but we want this x

what does your provider say about cutting out carbs? Sometimes introducing carbs can kickstart the weight loss. I got told off by my dietician for not having them at the start of my journey. She said it was about having balance ... So protein first, veggies then carbs. Carbs in moderation did my weight loss no harm. Makes it easier to fit this weight loss journey into everyday life. Having said that, if I eat them earlier on in the day, I tend to get the munchies for the rest of the day, so prefer not to have too much carbs for breakfast or mid morning snack :)

Well done on your losses so far lottie ... X

I'm insulin intolerant and have polysistic ovaries so any carbs I eat turn to fat and stick to my hips. So I was advised cutting out carbs would really help. Also my husband would you believe is a strength and conditioning coach and has years of experience and qualifications in nutrition and he advised I cut out white potatoes, pasta, rice and bread. I still have carbs which are in most foods just not those categories. For me it's really worked. I also don't eat any low fat or half fat foods as full of sugar and sweetners. I eat full fat and monitor my calorie intake. We all believe different things but studies have shown fat doesn't make you fat no more than eating money would make you rich lol anyways that's what I'm doing :) thanks for all encouragement and help ladies xx

Photo update: just got my Xmas holiday photos back far better than last year and cringing less x
