Its a worrying trend how things have changed since the new government. I wonder what giving the funding automony to GPs instead of PCTs will bring - whether it will be easier or harder to get surgery. I am waiting for a referall to a plastic surgeon and did have an appointment before christmas which was cancelled and I was told to go back to my GP as the system has now changed.

Am I correct in thinking that a BMI of 25 is what is deemed your correct height to weight ratio on that scale. However it takes no account of build muscle mass etc. I understand that in the absence of a better system it is the only one widely accepted by the institutions. However it would seem they are suggesting you have to be below your healthy weight for your height for over two years using there criteria before considering plastics.Why don’t they be honest and say funding isn’t available sorry. It may not be nice but at least you know were you stand. I just think my self fortunate to have had may surgery last year.
