Luton and Dunstable

I don't know who I am anymore either, not the person who started on this journey last year, more confident, less of me game for a new challenge, would like to get rid of a couple more stone and have a new hip!! Going for tattoo in May. I have gone mad!!!!

I find myself wondering how much of me was really me. And how much just a mask. I feel more like the real me now but then don't always recognise myself.

This thread has gone off the tracks!!

I have to remind myself that I am no longer the size I was, even tonight I was at a meeting and was convinced I couldn't get into a seat, but I did easily with tons to spare!!!

I find that hard to adjust to all the very positive changes that have happened to me!!

I am glad that the surgeon now says that I can have my hip op if I could have that done I think I would be unstopable!!!!

It has transformed me and my life. But my head... Not so much. Still catching up there

Hi all,

I have my surgery at the L & D on Wednesday 29th May, so just a few days to go.

I think i am ready, mentally and physically. I have jumped through all the hoops with no major problems and am presently on the milk diet for two weeks. So far i have lost 11 Kgs so far in the last week and a half. I hope it is enough. I do worry that they will open me up and decide that i have not lost enough.

Any advice is always welcome.

Good luck. I had a sleeve at the L&D on Friday xx

Hi. Just been reading the posts above. Before surgery was anyone put on the milk diet for 4 weeks? I'm a week in on the diet and have an apointment in 3 weeks with the nurse but I didn't ask many questions so I'm kind of left in limbo. X

Hi bum new to L&D I'm glad for you al on your success stories. Hopefully I will have my own too soon. My last appointment was with the dietitian and he send me off on a 4 week milk diet! No talk of a surgery date etc which I thought was strange as I thought it was a pre op diet. Did anyone of you go through this?xx
