Don't panic lol... I've had to transfer it to the opposite hand as that finger is fatter. They were starting to get loose on my other hand and having to wash my hands a lot at work i was worried about losing them xx

I'm back to my old one (had to buy a new one when old one got too tight) and it will be too big soon. :) oh dear, I may have to have another.....what a shame!

Aww Julie... hope it can be downsized... isn't it lovely having smaller leaner fingers though... I always wanted 'piano fingers' but had trotters...
I'll never say never....

So pleased for you. Love and hugs xxx

I also have the most beautiful and expensive diamond eternity ring; I bought it with £ my dad left me. I dare not wear it because its miles too big. I hope it can be downsized, otherwise it'll be a case of resetting 5 diamonds!

I had my original wedding and engagement rings made smaller when I lost nearly 10 stone years ago, they havnt fitted for years. Hopefully when I loose more weight they will fit again :D XX

Strangely enough I took a couple of rings into a jewellers yesterday for re-sizing. They need to go down 2.5 sizes! One used to be my dad's but it fitted fine pre-op. Don't take any risks Julie, you will kick yourself if you lose it. xx

Better not lose that ring cos that means Trev is a free man and I fancy a change in men LOL ;) :D

Trollop!!!

PSST Get your coat Trev you've pulled :D:D:D:D

A fantastic excuse to get more jewellery :D

But seriously - I'd put it on a chain around you're neck as recently I've lost two rings both of which I had recently changed to smaller fingers. If I had lost something as meaningful as a wedding ring I'd be devastated.

Mine are really loose now too ! I must get myself to a jeweller asap and get one of those clips to go on my engagement ring - if I can keep that one on, it'll keep my wedding & eternity rings safe.

I had this problem.

I'd had my engagement and eternity rings made bigger after having them cut off following an allergic reaction!!

I was about 15 months out when I felt that having my rings made smaller was a milestone.

Don't be tempted to have it done too soon cos it weaknes the ring and jewellers only like to do it twice apparently - up or down!!

My temporary solution t the rings falling down problem was firstly to have a ring made to replace my wedding ring though in actual fact I never took it off.

Then I had it altered cos thay are still a bit loose BUT its the knuckles that are the problem!!

Then I had a very fine ring made by this lovely lady through Ebay from some old gash gold (broken chains odd earrings etc) and a couple of other buts!! which did a fine job holding my wedding ring in place.

Didn't want replacements - though we've had our ups and downs hubby put that ring on my finger for life - it only came off when pregnancy fingers dictated and when he'd made me extremely angry!! It flew once!!

Exciting times though - I know it made me feel wonderful - daft that I am

xxx

Well in all honesty when we got married last year it was a very low key affair, we'd hummed and hahhed about whether to do it pre or post op but when faced with life changing surgery we decided pre op, we didn't have much of a budget so brought what fitted and we could afford. The plan being to either get it altered or, when we have our blessing (which will be when i feel absolutely marvellous and Trev is happier within his body) we would then buy the rings we want for life..... My original wedding ring will always be special but if i can't have it altered it will stay close to my heart xx
