Mulitvitamins

I take my thyroxin at 05.30 when I get up liquid glucosamine before breakfast with fruit juice, calci chew, iron, multi vitamins, omeprazole, mebeverine, zinc in one go with my breakfast but then I'm 6mths post-op but been like that since about 3mths post-op only been on the bigger normal multi vitamins the last 6wks until then I was on the bassets chewable vitamins, I tried the liquid multivitamins but couldn't cope with the taste or smell.

Sometimes you just have to if I waited the advised 2 hrs between my thyroxin & eating anything with calcium & iron I'd never get food or drink in before work let alone the rest of meds.

I was sent home with Iron in liquid, lanzaropole melt in your mouth, paracetamol tablets and Tramadol capsules.
I was told not to take chewable as not as good as the tablets but I checked them agents the amounts in the 'normal' tables and they almost identical.

the meds I was given to take home are
chewable calcium with vit d that I have to suck
dalivit liquid 14 drops a day
fastab the melt on the tongue
All above I have to take for a month
and I also have to inject myself with enoxaparin sodium every day for 20 days
I was also given tramadol and soluble paracetamol for pain

I was told never to take calci chew wiv multivits/ iron as stops it working !! X

Oooh, I wasn't told that! I take my calcichew at the same time as my multivits / minerals in the morning. Also, ramipril, bisoprolol & amiodarone! I hate having to take all this stuff! I'll try to remember to ask at my next appointment.

I take 1 forceval, 1 zinc sulphate, 1 ant acid, 1 calceos chewable calcium & up until today was taking 20 ml of iron medicine. Went to see my gp today and told her I couldn't take the taste of the iron anymore so she gave me it in tablet form! I was told NOT to take bassetts chewable vitamins as they are for everyday use & not for post op as we need more if that makes sense lol but all hospitals are different x x

Dinda that's awful, I was NHS too,my hospital sent me home with everything I need, they are now giving me appointments with dietitian every month and she writes to my gp to tell her what I need to be prescribed!

Me too, but my hospital gave me a list to take to my GP to prescribe.
