My neighbours lost her dog

The dog is 14, quite fat and spoiled and was the only companion of my 83 years old neighbour. It went missing on New Years evening. She is distraught. I spent a good 2 hours looking for it, but to no avail. His name is Scruffy, I am thinking perhaps he has died. I've reported it for her, and just done some posters. I think maybe we will go the newspaper route. I just hope he comes back.

That's so sad...I've heard of old/ill dogs wandering off to die
Or perhaps Scruffy got spooked by a sudden NYE firework?

Oh what a shame... for old people sometimes their pets are the only company they get. Hope she finds it soon xxx
