Lol I suppose I was yes,how the heck did I move around ! If I carry my toddler who is 2stone around I think omg this is heavy! I just can't think how uncomfortable I must have been,I was big for many years, and I always knew I had to do something about it,but the thought of it used to put me on a downer and then I'd eat more :( then one day I thought right this is it! And off I went to the dr,xenical was great because if I over ate on fat I'd get to know about it on the loo,and eventually I stopped eating all the things that gave me the side effects and then nothing the weight just dropped off,my biggest motivation was the scales I weighed myself every day and kept a diary of it,I know they say you shouldn't weigh everyday but for me I had to,as I in a way was going day by day,if say people are going to groups where there is weekly weigh ins a week is a looong time when your on a diet, wondering if your doing it right, and it was that feeling that used to make me fail,as I'd think Sod it I've blown it I'm sure,so then I'd eat.
Your only 16 stone Hun you havnt a great deal to loose you can do it my love think come June you could be be dressing in little summer clothes :D xxx

I'm wondering how long of a wait I'm going to have between seeing the plastics consultant and the tuck itself :/ I know a lady from our area and she was offered 10 days time at her app,but she couldn't take it as she had booked a holiday so was booked in for 4 weeks time.
Mine will be done before aug tho as my letter said funding is only available from the date of this letter ( 14th feb ) for 6 months so I'm thinking I'll be looking at may :) x

Congrats on your funding!
Everyone is different with recovery but when I had mine done in September, I was able to walk very short distances (stooped-over) after a couple of weeks. All in all, I was only just standing upright again by my six week post-op appointment, though I could walk further. I hope you can arrange for someone to be around to lend a hand with the kids for at least the first couple of weeks.
Best of luck and keep us posted with how you get on!

Debs xx

Well tomorrow I go to see the plastic surgeon, I have mixed emotions I feel scared incase he refuses for some reason :,( and to top it all of I broke a bone in my hand on sat night and I'm in plaster,in struggling to do everyday tasks, as I have 3 kids 2 of which are age 2 and 3 so it's really hard :( I'll update when I get back from the hospital x

So disheartend :,( been to my app with the surgeon I showed him my tummy and he was feeling around my over hang, and said ok imagine all this gone and this pulling from the side, then he stopped before going higher up and asked the nurse just what we had got funding for,it said apronocectomy which is NOT a full tummy tuck ,it's a mini and only removes the hang bit nothing else,no new belly button none of flabby skin near my ribs,he said I need you to know that the results are not going to make you look beautiful,I need you to understand,I said well have you ever done this op on people and they have been happy? He paused looked down and said only on older woman.
But this is all I'm going to get and it will be done within 8 weeks or sooner.
I am gutted but I've agreed to it,have I made right choice? Has anyone on here had a mini? X

Had mine last week
make sure you have got some lose clothes due to dressing and any swelling

You will also need some support garments. My surgeon recommended cycle short type (boobs to knees)

Its well worth trying to use them at home so you get used to putting them on. Me and the hubster have been in fits of laughter when I have been trying to put them on. Why its not an Olympic sport I'll never know? :rotflmao::rotflmao:
