Oh Angeline what a nightmare! So sorry that you have had such a rough time of it and so many procedures. I can only hope that your wound improves soon and you can concentrate on getting better!
Good luck with having staples out and getting new antibiotics! Are you able to deal with liquids ok now?
I can tolerate liquids and yoghurts etc...soft foods and in two days I can try things like cottage pie , mash and beans etc.....I can't wait !!!!!!! Lol xxxx
I still can't eat much about 100g at a time but that's ok as it's getting easier as swelling going down in tummy now...I can feel it as I, not so bloated xxxx
Hi @Angeline really hope things are improving for you this week. Can't believe that you had issues with the antibiotics on top of everything else! Really hope you are having a better week.

I have a wonderful picture of you doing the post-op shuffle so to stand upright is another step (excuse the pun!) forward. I did that shuffle after my caesarian section and laughed at the ridiculous bent over crab-like walk. Any idea when the drain comes out? Ask if the hospital or GP has access to a Tissue Viability Nurse who could advise on a wound cover that does not irritate already very sensitive and blistered skin. Most hospitals have someone in that role and the GP will have access to the District Nursing Team and there is normally a specialist nurse working as a DN. Worth asking for as you have enough to cope with without sore, blistered skin.
I gave gauze in the as my skin is healing from blisters a bit now xxx they are looking to take out tube/ drain this Friday ....whoop whoop !!!
As for staple scar the coco butter with Vit E is working a dream !! The wound is not as bad as it was and is now 1.5cm instead of 3 !!!! They are using Aquacel and small easy remove/ soft edge wound covers xxx sooooooo much better cause we just put them on a angle now to give skin a break xx
Oh Hannah that's amazing news it come back with good news xxx I'm not looking forward to having tube out but I know it will be better out rather then in xxx
Good news about the drain removal for Friday! Sounds like they are on top of sorting out the right wound dressings too which will help. Fingers crossed for Friday!

Hi Angeline
How are you and is the drain out and the healing started? It has been a very checkered road for you hasn't it? How are you doing on the post-op diet?
