Don't go overboard with buying any type of new clothes - they will be way too big in no time at allMorning, had our works xmas meal last night, it was a fun evening and nice to see the few who made the effort socially! I very rarely go out as I feel so unconfident & self conscious.....
So today I have decided to do a pre-pre op diet, til Xmas I am going to go low-carb & no alcohol, I may not even drink over the festive period.
I have a company conference Jan 5th/6th & will def not drink then as surgery ''should'' be on the 17th and from the 2nd Jan I intend to follow the Cambridge Plan until op and possibly for the liquid period after.
I have been looking into getiting myself a Kindle which I can download books onto over Xmas & New Year, I will go to Asda's and do some sale shopping for PJ's/slippers/dressing gown, I need to get some loose fitting clothes nearer the time along with toiletries. I love having a plan and feeling so positive!
I am so glad I found this place, even if no one listens or replies it doesnt matter just getting things down feels so much better doesnt it???
I feel more hopeful that I have done in months

don't forget a nightie for first day post op to allow for catheter! x
good luck for the surgery, mine's just been moved forward to 5th jan, so no xmas pud or drink for me this year! sounds like you're doing really well food-wise, well done x
All the right reasons:
health - in general
getting out of the bath - is such an effort
chaffing - tops of thighs
sweating - upper lip, between boobs, top of thighs, back of neck....
exercise - I want to go swimming and learn to run
clothes - gosh the list is endess, underwear, skinny jeans, wet look leggings
bending down to put on socks of tie laces
crossing legs
little kids sittin on lap - i want them to fit!
sleeping at night - instead of laying awake telling myself that tomorrow the diet will start!
not planning my lonely weekends around what food i can eat
getting control
stop feeling like a victim
going out socially
making friends again
being positive for my kids
going shopping into town with kids
going on holiday and having FUN
remembering in general that LIFE IS GOOD!
.....just a few of the reasons why I am making this drastic life changing choice that I can look back over xx

I wish you all the best. I,ve spoken to Nick at BBC tonight and hopefully having the wrap myself on the 16th. Eek! I,ll be flying on the 15th too (hopefully).
Have you been given a pre-op diet? That was something that I forgot to ask....
Fingers crossed that I get my date
Don't understand why it,s not available in the UK yet. Mind you, it will be an extortionate price when it does come available....
I discussed my thoughts with provider in one of many phone calls, it was my suggestion as I said earlier its easy and hassle free for me,I,ll be flying from Manchester so we,ll not meet unfortunately. But it will be great swapping experiences on here. I,m not nervous about the op at all. I,m more concerned about getting my head around eating less! It,s gonna be a psychological battle for sure.
Where you advised to diet prior to the op or have you taken it upon yourself?
