No weight loss for me this week... ooops, its fluctuated all week for some reason :(

Ah well maybe it will be better next week after a senekot or two :D

hey hun, maybe your due on? as you can weigh more, i wouldnt worry tooo much tho as it can alter week to week hey, or like in my case day to day!! hope u dont think im being nosey but how much have you lost since having the band?..... xx im awaiting mine haha x

Lol hey huni, nah im not due on i dont think ( they have become very random latley lol) i also vary from day to day aswell. My weightloss hasnt been very good tbh, i done well on pre-op but alot of that was water. SInce the band its 12 lbs i think ( its on ticker) but the first few mths i was loosing inches rather then lbs, ive dropped 1-2 dress sizes xx

hey 12 lbs is 12 lbs!! and losing inchs is fab as it shows your losing fat! if your a naturally muscular person then that will also effect it as muscle weighs more than fat..... well done on your loss! is your bariatic team pleased tho?.....as its them that knows best hey :) xx

hehe true, my next appt is in september, lol so a while yet,

xx

Emm have you had many fills yet? How much have you in your band?

Did you properly follow the eating plan for after the band, dont get me wrong 12lb is good but I would have thought you would have lost a bit more as we loose most of our weight in the first 6 months then it slows down, I could be wrong but just wanted to ask you to see if there is some way we could help you shift a bit more ;)

Hey, yeah i did and also ate chicken salad 2 weeks post-op, consultant said i didnt do any harm
Its only been in the last 3 weeks ive actually lost lbs, i wasnt eating enough prior to CazBandy helping me.
As i mentioned before i have down sized in dress size yay.
So am hoping now my weight will continue to shift.
I have 6.5ml in a 14ml band. Had 2 fills so far.
x

...Chicken salad after 2 weeks!!! wow I wasn't allowed chicken til after 3 months!!

Well done on coming down dress sizes that always puts a smile on ur face ;)

Well hopefully with Cazbandy's help the lbs will continue to drop off, just make sure you are eating plenty of protein and staying away from sliders :)

I know i know i was very naughty... bad me! Altho i chewed it to mush and havent done any damage, i was starving!

how much have you lost in how long?
I know im doing rubbishly ( new word there? lol) compared to near on everyone else ... But im defo not eating even a quater of what i used too lol

maybe me and a band just arent suited :S
xx

I lost 57lb in about 5 months, still have just over a stone to go but its not bothering me, havn't lost anything in ages because i'm cheating but i'm not gaining so I dont really care, probably not the right attitude but i'm enjoying my new figure and dont really care if the last stone comes off or not

I worked REALLY hard and it paid off, dont let yourself slip back into old habits as it can be hard to come away from them. A band works but only if you work with it so you should really try and change your mind set that a band isn't for you or it wont work as you will keep telling yourself it wont work for you, its not a magic wand you have to help it along, your team wont be happy with you if you aren't steadily loosing and following their guidelines, why did you opt for the band and not the bypass if you think the band isn't for you?

Wow thats impressive, congrats hun, I kow i have to work with the band too, and if im honest i need to get moving more, I have days where i dont stop, then days where i do stop and feel sluggish. I find it hard at times to know what to have to eat. I wasnt given the option of a bypass else i would have gone for that :(

I havn't a clue about the NHS process but surely they would have asked you about your eating habits etc

Have you had a look at the daily band menus for ideas on what to eat, when you say you have days where you are sluggish are you maybe eatin too many carbs on those days? If you eat plenty of protein you should have tons of energy. Keep a food diary and I guarantee you you are eating foods you didn't realise you were, you are still early days so if you buck yourself up and start again you should get back on track, try and stay away from carbs like pasta, rice, potatoes etc and eat plenty of chicken, ham (not processed) beef, tuna, salmon etc with lots of salad, cous cous, this will help fill you up and give you energy also get up of your backside and go out for a walk even if its only 15 minutes its still something, once you start to build your metabolism up the weight loss will get better I promise you!

Try some eggs and beans in the morning e.g poached, scrambled or dry fried, eggs are a great filler and will give you a good start to the day

Come on you can do it, you just need some encouragement, BE HONEST with yourself about what you are eating and make the changes that need made!!

stay away from these, you lose fluid, that's all, not real weight loss!! ;)

I've only just noticed the 'senokot' comment on your original post!

DO NOT be using laxatives to help you loose weight, use the tool that you were given....your band!!

God i'm gonna be pedantic here and Jaffa Cake please don't take offence... But you say you aren't losing the rest of your weight because you are eating crap, but then tell Emm she needs to follow the diet? That confused me a lot....

Emm, jaffacake is right laxatives are not the route to go and you know it so please don't get into that vicious cycle. Everybody loses weight at the same right, you may think you are behind others but as you say when you first started you were not eating enough to lose weight...

Stalls happen to everyone, i had a bypass and i'm on a second weeks weigh in of no weight loss although i today fitted into a size 20 pair of stretch 3/4 jeans whereas 7 weeks ago it was a size 26... Go figure....

You know what you need to eat, it's tougher for banders i think because of the ease it is to cheat, at least us bypassers have to worry about dumping...

Keep the faith you are doing great xx

I'm not eating crap and didn't say I was, I'm eating good food but with a bit too much gravy or sauce turning it into sliders but i'm still not able to eat massive amounts hence why i'm not gaining!! I have lost the majority of my weight and the last stone isn't bothering me, if I loose it I loose it if I dont I dont. Emm hasn't lost 1 stone yet and she is 3 months post op, in my opinion she should have lost more which would have been achieved if the diet plan was followed to a T, i'm not having a go at her, i'm trying to help her, i'm not telling her to follow my latest eating regime that would be stupid! I honestly dont know how you are confused I have told her to eat healthily and not use laxatives  what is confusing about that?

Can i just clear something up, i said abotu senekot as im slightly bunged up NOT to give my self the squits to cause weightloss im really not that stupid!!!!

As for eating crap, yes i expect im as guilty as the next person for having the odd thing, but i dotn sit there stuffing myself with it. I admitted that before i wasnt eating enough (less then 500ish calories) i thought this was enough, until i was directed in the right direction...

I think also some credit is due to myself with the dress size loss, ok the scales might not been moving at a rapid rate but they are moving. At the start i had to put up with at least 6 weeks worth of infection, so it wasnt a rosey start for me. Im not wanting sympathy abotu that either.
Id love to head to the gym and work out sessions but unfortunaltey i dont have the financial means to do that.
Im not a lard ass who sits arounf doign sweet FA all day either thats for sure.

forgot also to say my ticker dotn include the 30lbs i lost pre-op!!

hey em i think your doing fine as you are hun!! you know yourself when your clothes fit better and you feel good, id say carry on as you are as your losing inchs and hold out till sep till you see your team again xx

Thanks hun, x
