Your not selfish but I'm glad you wrote that because I'm going private and i keep on thinking the same thing as my Bypass will end up costing 15k because of it being a loan.
Your dad will be made up you spent the money on WLS all parents want there children to be happy and healthy and thats exactly what you are now. What else would you have spent the money on? a new car or something else materialistic.
