Hi all
Had VSG surgery about 3 years ago. Got myself down to a BMI of 25, can't remember my original BMI, but I was 22 stone, so was light in comparison to others but certainly didn't feel like it wearing giant t-shirts & cheap oversized jeans.
I've put on nearly a stone in about 4 months due to a bereavement, but I know exactly where I'm going wrong (using the old coping mechanism of chocolate, sweets & junk). Now I think it's time to re-motivate myself & get back on track, healthy food, the gym & moderation of luxuries. Was looking around & saw this site so thought I'd share my tuppence too
Good luck to all who are op pending or post-op losing - I still feel that along with eye laser surgery, its the best decision I've ever made; but it is permanent, it does still involve moderation as we've spent years building up our excessive eating habits & he's always going to be there, just on the edge, waiting for that moment - but he's small & no longer has voice for it
