Looks like Im joining the November club at kings on the 12th Got a call from admissions today saying can I do the 12th, Not required to do a pre op diet as mr patel does not need his patients to do it.
All becoming very real now... Im terrified
Oh I can really worry In 6 days ! lol
As for pre op diet I remember when I first saw him That he told me that he does not require the diet. Hes also a liver surgeon so knows his way around it I hope!
I had Pre op assessment back in July and didn't hear anything. to be honest Its bad timing really, as I am being transferred to another job with a different company on the 30th of this month so I will have to get that sorted out too.
But I been waiting so long for it and with my health its got to be done.
I just hope its the right thing to do hope I don't get any complications But Im sure it is, if you know what i mean lol

I had a weeks notice for my sleeve and my surgeon didn't require me to do pre op diet either and there was no problem with the surgery.
Good luck with the op x
I had 6 incisions all smaller than an inch and they were glued. I was walking to the loo after 2 hours and was only allowed clear fluids. Day after I was on protein shakes and left hospital on day 3. I was never in any real pain just uncomfortable but did have calpol (soluble paracetamol came back up).
I am still having daily blood thinning injections (4 weeks) which is making a right mess of my tummy. And I also have to take lanaprozole daily (not sure of spelling)
I've not felt real hunger and am now on the mushy stage - great feeling tho seeing the scales go down :0)
I got given build up in hospital but had bought loads of complan. When I got home I couldn't tolerate complan. There was a good thread on this site with all the different ones people had.
