Plasters & baby

Hi when was you allowed to take off your plasters? Also I'm 2 weeks post op & was wondering if it's ok to pick up my 8 month old now? Xx

My plasters came off after 10 days when i had my staples removed.
I have a 2year old but he is very light for his age. Ive only just started to lift him.
With a baby i would say you would be fine now, just dont over do it and play it by ear.

My provider told me 10 days to take off my dressings.

Awww, a whole two weeks without being able to pick up your baby, I bet you can't wait?!! x

Awww...i know how you feel about the baby, my hubby did everything for my boys and i missed my cuddles also. I couldnt wait to get my cuddles back. I did it after 2 weeks as hubby went back work so i had to pick my baby up and get back doing school run etc.

Hi Hun 1st day of picking up little man full time - so far so good, hubby is well pleased as he can get on with work lol. How are you going?

10 days to tk dressing off...i took them of at 8 days as was severely itchy so might have reacted (although i think it was the protein powder i was using?) still got the steripaste thingies covering the stitches.... they will come off in their own time.

have had to lift little un here and there so try to do it properly (like kitkat1 said!)

Seems ok lifting but hubby still around some of the time & we are off on hols for a few days so hopefully not too much lifting. Took the plasters off apart from one as my trousers were rubbing against it xx
