Plataeu?

Hi everyone!

Think i'm going through a bit of a plataeu as i don't seem to be losing anymore! Scale hasn't budged for nearly three weeks!

Any help/tips/advice please?

Hi Hun, if you've managed to lose 70lbs without a plateua thus far then you have done really well! I'm only 5 weeks post op but had a 10 day stall a couple of weeks ago so know it can be very frustrating. Peeps advised me to up my fluids and protein and reassured me that the weight would come off. And they were right, I've lost more than 5lbs a week since. Try and stay positive and keep motivated however demoralising it may seem, stalls are part and parcel of weightloss sadly but the good news is they are usually followed by lots of movement on the scales.

Very best of luck hun,
Cuppa xx

Hi Amy,

I'm at the same stage as you (my op was a week after yours) but I havent done as well as you.

If its any consolation though, Ive had a few weeks of losing very little and then suddenly from no where lost 6lb this week.

It all sorts itself out in the end hun. Youve done fantastically well so far. Also, you are very close to a healthy weight now, and the experienced bypassers all seem to slow down a bit as they near their goals.

Hi Amy cant help i'm sorry (not on the losers bench yet) but didnt want to read and run.

Double check that you are following all the rules ie not drinking within 30mins of eating, no snacking and plenty of protein. It will start again soon all being well and it may be a good loss when it comes!

Maybe try the 5 day pouch test?

A good way to break a plateau is to change things round a bit. If you are doing exercise, try a different type (swap walking for swimming etc). If you normally have carbs for breakfast, have them with lunch instead. Simple changes can kick start the metabolism again and get things moving.
