Preparing & Nest Building......

Hi all, Just preparing for my surgery on Thursday & it dawned on me I am acting the same way as an expectant mother..... all I seem to have done for the past few days is clean, tidy, sort & throw out..

Am I, in effect building my nest?? or just making sure all is done beforehand as I know I will be limited afterwards for a few weeks.

I have made to-do lists for everyone (so not me) & everything is organised (deffo not the usual me)

Anyone else go through a "weird" phase before their WLS ???

my hubby did this before my surgery 4am on the day before i went to get my train he was stripping the beds think its a normal thing to make sure all is done

Me too. I've been doing this for a few weeks now. I'm told it's the normal nesting instinct. Good luck for Thursday. I start my yoghurt diet in this morning. Two weeks to my op. X

LOL yes i did it too LOL although didn't realise till i read your thread LOL the house was clean from top to bottom, hubby did few trips to the tip it was like a fresh start kinda thing........... anyone would have thought i was going to be away for a month lol it was nice to know it was all done thou and soooooooooo nice to climb into a nice fresh, clean bed oh heavenly gl for thursday hunni x x x

I'm definitely 'nesting' too and I love the feeling from it at the minute! I feel like I'm getting my life back and the world will be my oyster!!

Yeah me too! Cleaned my house this morning from top to bottom, got all my washing and ironing done, mowed the lawn, packed the dog off to the kennels and kissed my little girl goodbye at school this morning...all before catching my train to Leeds for my op tomorrow. Didn't think of it as "nesting" until I read your post, then is realised I did the same just before having my baby 9 years ago! How strange are we! Good luck with all your surgeries. M x
